A fun site worth checking out is wordle.net

In this site you enter words - from a poem, paper, speech whatever and it makes it into word art. It takes the words that are used more often & makes them bigger and intermixes everything - you just have to try it to get it.
I have seen it used comparing speeches from JFK, Nixon, & Bush. It does require JAVA, so if Java isn't working on your computer contact IT.

The second site is http://www.teachersdomain.org/

"Teachers' Domain is an extensive library of free digital media resources produced by public television, designed for classroom use and professional development."

This site has video, flash animation and lesson plans for all content areas and grades.
Sign-up is free and only takes a couple of minutes.
